This is the two tailed test .

The null and alternative hypothesis is

H0 : p = 0.93

Ha : p 0.93

= x / n = 450 / 500 = 0.9

P0 = 0.93

1 - P0 = 0.07

Test statistic = z

= - P0 / [P0 * (1 - P0 ) / n]

= 0.9 - 0.93 / [(0.93 * 0.07) / 500]

= -2.629

P(z < -2.629) = 0.0043

P-value = 2 * 0.0043 = 0.0086
