As a social scientist you are asked to conduct a study of dental health care of adults in a small township. You want tocvisit households for this research, and you do not have any other information about the households in the township. You want to make sure you have a representative sample. Explain your sampling design strategy and sampling design.

The sampling strategy should be based on multistage sampling. In this case, the entire population can be classified into smaller sub populations based on say geographical area. Now out of these groups, some sample groups are chosen by Simple Random Sampling. From each of these sub groups again another sample of individuals is selected and data is collected from them. This strategy helps in doing away with any bias in the sampling strategy as in both the stages the samples are randomly selected.
