Answer #1

Solution :

This i sthe right tailed test .

The null and alternative hypothesis is ,

H0 :   2.24

Ha : > 2.24

Given that,

= 2.4

= 2.24

s = 0.6

n = 23

Test statistic = t = ( - ) / s / n

= (2.4 - 2.24) / 0.6 / 23 = 1.28

Test statistic = 1.28

= 0.01

Z = Z0.01 = 2.33

The critical value = 2.33
