This is my assignment, "Your project will be a small research assignment in which you critique an article that you find on Yahoo, Google, magazine, newspaper, or anything similar. The article needs to be one that clearly makes a claim or suggests a finding that would require a statistical experiment to really prove." What are some experiments or myths that would be good explain in a paper? This paper does not have to be about well-known experiments, such as the "Stanford Prison Experiment." I just need recommendations.
Hey there are many topics right now. One can be comparing the mortality rate of COVID, you can get the data easily on the internet and you can compare the mortality rate between any two countries or city. (Whatever you wish).
You will get p(mortality probability), you will get n (Total number of patients infected). From this, you can calculate Standard Deviation(SD) which would be sqrt(p*(1-p)). Now you can use Z-test to check your hypothesis by checking at 95% confidence (for e.g.)
You can check for any other topic also but the logic remains the same.
