The normal distribution parameters are given as:

Mean, Mu = 1440
Stdev, Sigma = 120

To Standardize we will use the formula: Z = (X-Mean)/Stdev

To get the answer we must answer:

P(X>1300),

Standardizing using the formula: Z = (X-Mean)/Stdev

P(Z> (1300-1440)/120)

= P(Z> -1.1667)

=1- P(Z<=-1.667)

= 1- 0.1217 ( we used the Z table or you can also use the Excel formula NORMSDIST(z) to calculate this)

= 0.8783

Answer: 0.8783
