Import the data from the file “GASTURBINE.txt” which include the variables: cycle speed RPM, cycle pressure ratio CPRATIO, and heat rate HEATRATE. Do the regression analysis by writing your R code.
(a) Print out your R code and output regarding all of the following questions/answers. (1 pt)
(b) Fit the interaction model to the data, then draw the plot of the residuals against predicted heat rate yˆ. (0.5 pt)
(c) Is the assumption of a constant error variance reasonably satisfied? (0.5 pt)
(d) Draw the histogram of residuals and the normal probability plot. Check the assumption of normal errors for the interaction model for heat rate (y). Is the normality assumption reasonably satisfied? (0.5 pt)
(e) If the normality assumption is violated, suggest how to modify the model. You do not need to run the suggested model again. Just write down the idea (or the new model) to correct the non-normality of residuals (0.5 pt)
