Hello Sir/ Mam

Type 1 error is when we reject the null hypothesis when it is actually true.

A good example of a Type 1 error in scientific research.

There is a 99.9% accuracy that the experiment will give correct result

Where null hypothesis is that the experiment has given correct result,

There is a 1 in 1000 cases, the test gives a false positive. Hence, it can be an example of an incorrect rejection of of true null.

I hope this solves your doubt.

Do give a thumbs up if you find this helpful.

Interpret the negative consequence of a Type 1 error in the following example: Imagine a doctor is prescribing a very expensive medication with potentially dangerous side effect with over dosage. A previous study demonstrated the 5 pills is probably the lowest dosage to eradicate the illness in most adults. So the hypothesis test would be: Null hypothesis: dosage for null recovery in adults is greater than or equal to 5 pills. Alternative hypothesis: dosage for full recovery in adults is...
