Answer #1

The ACT sore is distributed as negatively skewed and platykurthic, considering the fact that the students of ACT scores are generally brilliant with a lot of coaching so that the curve of ACT scores has a long tail in the negative direction of the number line. The mean is also to left of the peak. The normal Distribution is symmetrical with mean ,median and mode all coinciding at the mid value. This the one concern with using the normal distribution as a model for ACT scores.
