No correlation analysis does not provide evidence for the causation. If there are two variables A and B that rae correlated,than it doesn't mean that A causes B. Because thay may be correlated because of many factors like there maybe a third variable on which both are dependent and hence correlated. Also correlation (if tells about causation, although it doesn't ) doesn't tell which is the cause and which is effect.

The main idea of causation always comes from theory and experimentation.
