Regarding testing for relationships of intervals data. Regarding testing the relationship s the components association, co-movement and overall patterns are necessary. Because, unless we are sure about how two or more variables are associated or correlated that is there movement is depend on each other we can not study the data and variables present in the data.

These are some of the measures which quantifies the data and we can take appropriate decision regarding variables present in the data.

In the police department, there are some variables which needs to be correlated, no of wrong incidents happening in the city are related to the police present in the town.
