Answer #1
  1. 14 reservations were accepted, which means, 14 tickets were sold. Of which, 9 were regular passengers and were sure to arrive. Now the remaining 14 - 9 = 5 passengers will arrive for the the flight independently with probability 0.48 but we only have 2 more seats in the flight (since out of 11 seats, 9 are fixed). Therefore, overbooking will occur if more than 2 of these 5 remaining passengers arrive.
