We're going to start doing some more traditional inferential statistics that will allow us to determine whether there are differences between (a) a sample and a population, (b) multiple different samples. The former will require us to use one-sample t-tests (Chapter 13), and the latter will require us to do independent and dependent samples t-tests and ANOVAs.
