A confidence interval is a measure precision. i.e., it is a tool which indicates how stable a estimate is, means how close the measurement will be to the original estimate if we repeat the experiment.

similarly in gambling also we bet on some thing with some level of confidence that we will win the game.

Hence confidence interval is similar to gambling
