When using Levene's test for ANOVA, the p-value should not indicate statistical significance (e.g. p<.05) because the null hypothesis states that the variance of the dependent variable is the same across comparison groups.
The p-value does indicate statistical significance in case of Levene's test for ANOVA. If p-value < 0.05 (level of significance) then the obtained differences in sample variances are unlikely to have occurred based on SRS from a population with equal variances. If p-value > 0.05, then we will fail to reject the null hypothesis and conclude that the variances are equal.
