Explain what did you learn about Z score ? Why is it important ?
Based on Emprical Rule , where would like your relative positioning be for your statistic grade ? why ?
Z score is the standardized score obtained by subtracting mean of the original data from each value and then dividing them by standard deviation of the original data.
It is very useful for comparison of the two series. Also they are used for relative position of the original x values.
For example: Suppose we have a score of statistics exam in two different classes. So here we can not compare the scores directly. For comparison we need to find z score of the scores and then compare them.
Note that z score values are unitless and therefore useful for comparison.
