About variables:

As we know that both continuous variable increasing order or decreasing order then there is positive correlation between the variables

Otherwise if values are in x increasing and values are in y decreasing (or) if values are in y increasing and values are in x decreasing then there is negative correlation between the variables

About intercept:

Intercept tell us predicted value of dependent variable when there is no effect of independent variable i.e. independent variable is zero
