4 Red (R) ; 3 White (W) and 2 Blue (B) balls

Total 9 balls.

Further we select one ball out of it randomly.

This can be done in 9C1= 9 ways.

We have to obtain the Odds against the ball being blue.

The odds against ball being Blue

Consider,

P(Blue) = (2C1)/(9C1) = 2/9

Hence, eqn (1) becomes

Hence, the odds against getting a Blue coloured ball

are 7 : 2
