Find the area under the normal curve between the following (hint: draw the picture) a) Z - -1.2 and Z = 2.4

Homework Answers

Answer #1

The area under the normal curve between -1.2 and 2.4 is,

P(-1.2 < z < 2.4) = P(-1.2 < z < 0) + P(0 < z < 2.4)

                           = 0.3849 + 0.4918                         (From normal table

P(-1.2 < z < 2.4) = 0.8767

Hence the area under the normal curve between -1.2 and 2.4 is 0.8767
