Answer #1

1)for learinng rate r=0.90

here time for fist unit =T1=Tn/(n)log(r)/log(2) =16/(3)log(0.9)/log(2) =18.9079

hence time for 12th unit =T12=T1*(n)log(r)/log(2) =18.9079*(12)log(0.9)/log(2) =12.96 Hours

2)

here time for 2nd unit T2 =T1*(2)log(r)/log(2) =30 ........(1)

time for 4th unit T4=T1*(4)log(r)/log(2) =21 .........(2)

dividing 1 and 2; and solving

learning rate r=0.7

putting it in equation (1)

T1=42.8571

hence time it took to make 3rd unit =42.8571*(3)log(0.7)/log(2)=24.35 Hours
