EXPLAIN THE METHOD!!!!! Don't try to solve it, just explain!!! I have the data organized in MATLAB and need to understand the general method of creating and testing hypotheses as outlined:

select a city within US and find the daily average reported temperature data for year 2016 and 2017. you should

1) Conduct hypothesis test by comparing monthly average between the two year

2) Within each year, run a appropriate hypothesis comparing June and August.

Part II of this portion requires you create a simple linear model for the following data attached. The data includes 27 students' weight and their corresponding height. You should

1) run a descriptive statistical analysis unto both the height and the weight.

2) Choose appropriate dependent variable and independent variable to model the relationship between weight and height. Please quantify your model with appropriate variables calculated based on your data.

Homework Answers

Answer #1

1) The null and alternative hypothesis is

H0 : daily average reported temperature data for year 2016 and 2017 is equal

H1 : daily average reported temperature data for year 2016 and 2017 is not equal

2) The test hypothesis is z-test becuase the sample size greater than 30.

Part II
1) FOr descriptive statistical analysis unto both the height and the weight, we can find the mean, median, maximum, minimum and quantile for the given data set.

2) dependent variable is weight and independent variable is height.

Show all work method/steps, Computations, Calculations, Explain, list any applicable source/web applets, etc... A health educator was interested in determining whether college students at her college really do gain weigh during their freshman year. A random sample of 5 college students was chosen and the weight for each student was recorded in August and May. Does the data below suggest that college students gain weight during their freshman year? The health educator wants to use a 0.05 significance level to...

For this lab we will use NFL Scouting Combine data for drafted running backs and wide receivers from years 2012-2014. The combine is a series of tests to evaluate college football players ahead of the NFL Draft. The dataset is available on Canvas. To perform the hypothesis tests below, you will need to upload the data to StatKey and select the appropriate columns. For guidance, refer to the StatKey guide. The dataset contains the following variables: year Year player participated...
