In Week 1, you were asked to analyze the use of statistics in health care. Now that you have expanded your knowledge base, let’s reexamine that relationship. Have you thought of new ways in which statistics could be incorporated into the work you do? Are there ways in which you could improve processes or patient care using these techniques (related to statistics)? Give specific examples and suggestions.

As we know that there is an important Brach of statistics known as Bio-statistics which is mostly used in heath sector. One more brach Actuarial statistics is also used by insurance company.

I will show one one example in both sector.

1) Suppose we have to know the sensitivity and specity of a medical instrument which is used to measure the influence of some disease, now we will select a section of population who are affected with the same disease,now we will find the sensitivity and specificity of the the instrument.

2) Suppose an insurance company want to provide a death insurance or accidental insurance to a community,then firstly it select a section of population and measure the age of death of population also the average life expectancy of the people in that community.

There are many application of bio statistics in health sector.
