  • Which testing method—one-sample or two-sample parameter tests—is the better test to use to formulate an answer to a hypothesis? Explain.

Hypothesis testing refers to the process of making inferences or educated guesses about a particular parameter. This can either be done using statistics and sample data, or it can be done on the basis of an uncontrolled observational study.

You should do a two sample test if you are comparing two samples, each of which has variability that should be modeled. A one sample test would be if you were comparing the mean of a sample to some fixed value.
