How can I Report confidence intervals for each data pair and look at the effect on confidence intervals when significance levels change for the data you analyzed.

Answer #1

How can I Report confidence intervals for each data pair and look at the effect on confidence intervals when significance levels change for the data you analyzed.

When reporting confidence intervals, use the format 95% CI [LL, UL] where LL is the lower limit of the confidence interval and UL is the upper limit.

For example,

M=23.5, 95% CI [16.2, 33.7]

If the confidence intervals contain 0 value, there is no significant difference.

If significance levels change, for example 95% to 99%, then the width of the confidence intervals increases.

In Chapter 7 of Devore, we learned about two-sided confidence intervals as well as one-sided confidence bounds. In this unit’s Chapter 8 reading, we’re learning about the various forms that Null and Alternative hypotheses can take, and how they can be viewed as relating to each other. Describe your intuitive sense of how the ways we discussed confidence intervals and bounds will be helpful when testing hypotheses of the types and relationships covered in the text. I think that investors look at NPV and IRR (or any other data they are evaluating) as indicators of their own assessment of a project or investment.They can calculate the risk and return of the investment.When the investor finds out that his investment will bring negative NPV, he will cancel the investment. They will invest in the project when all the metrics are met. How do you think? Or do you have opposite view?
