In the species we are studying, 85% of the males are migrants and 50% of the females are migrants. In addition we are told that the sex-ratio is skew, so that 40% of the population are males.
(a) What is the probability that a bird which has migrated is a female using a contingency table?
(b) What is the probability that a bird which has not migrated is a female?
