when doing a football multiple linear regression, what variables are necessary to include when trying to looking at the winning percentages of the teams?

Although the problem is based on multiple linear regression. But actually the choices of regressor variables maybe subjective to the experimenter's point of view. Now let's discuss about the problem.

Let Y,being the dependent variable, denotes the "winning percentages of the teams". Now intuitively Y can depend upon the the following regressor(or independent) variables those one can include :

1. Fitness training quotient per day (denote it as X1)

2. Practice sessions per day (denote it as X2)

3. Coordination factor between team mates (denote it as X3)

4. Overall team strength quotient (denote it as X4)

These are the some independent variables those one can include but remember these are not the only ones,there maybe a lot more. We can choose based on our requirements of the multiple regression involving constant terms and partial correlation coefficients between Y and each Xi for all i.
