Which one of the below is false?

Group of answer choices

In regression models, if p-value for a predictor is greater than alpha, then that predictor is helpful to predict the response variable.

High correlation correficents indicate strong relationship between the variables of a regression model.

In regression models, we use p-values and alpha to determine if the model is significant

Higher coefficient of determination values are desired in regression models.

Answer #1

The false statement is :

In regression models, if the p-value for a predictor is greater than alpha, then that predictor is helpful to predict the response variable.

The higher the p-value, the less evidence is in support of the helpfulness of the predictor in predicting the response variable. We desire a small p-value for the predictor variable for it to be significant and thus helpful in predicting the response variable.

All the other statements are true.

Which of the the following are true regarding regression models? Select all that apply. Group of answer choices Errors sum to a large number. The relationship between the dependent variable and independent variables must be non-linear. It is used to determine if one or more independent variables affect the dependent variable. The error is found by subtracting the actual value from the predicted value. Observations must be independent.

MBA 5008 Quantitative Analysis The question presented to me which I dont fully understand and requesting assitance in answering. When developing a simple regression model one utilizes a method to predict a linear relationship between a dependent variable and an independent variable. However, there may be more than one independent variable that affect the dependent variable. In this case we utilize the multiple regression method. 1. Describe the objective in using simple and or multiple regression models. 2. What does...

Which of the following statements is FALSE? Group of answer choices Older men tend to have lower muscle density. Hence, the correlation between “age” and “muscle density” in older men must be negative. Older children tend to be taller than younger children. Hence, the correlation between “age” and “height” in children must be positive. A researcher finds the correlation between two variables is close to 0, so the two variables must be strongly related. Taller people tend to be heavier...
