Regression and ANOVA are dependent upon the number of explanatory variale and type of explanatory variable because we can have quantitative varible as well as qualitative variables which are denoted by 0 and 1.

total number of data points is not correct option because total number of data points are always included in each model. So, there is nothing specific about regression or ANOVA.

option A is incorrect because actual statistical model never uses the keywords.

option C is incorrect because variable type is important for the actual statistical model.
