With the influx of new nurses, a hospital has decided install the Continental time scale of 12 hour shifts versus the Regular 8 hour shifts to see if this change will improve job satisfaction, as measured by a questionnaire that assess satisfaction or dis-satisfaction. A higher score implies greater satisfaction. Questionnaire scores of 18 randomly chosen nurses before and after the implementation of these new working hours are shown in the following table.
