What possible conclusions could you draw from these rates, about the overall health status of people in this city? What should the interprofessional team do to help improve the situation? Be sure and support your conclusions using data. |
Infant mortality ratio = 300*1000/1500
=200 per 1000 births
Crude Death Rate= 1000*1000/100000
= 10 per 1000 people
Crude Birth Rate = 1500*1000/100000
= 15 per 1000 people
We see that 200 infants out of 1000 births die before one year which is very high.Possible reasons my include lack of proper medical facilities to provide newly born proper medcines and environment and there may also be lack of proper education of how to handle newly born on the side of parents. So improving health facilities sholud be recommended.
CDR is 10 per 1000 people which is acceptable considering world CDR of 8.33 per 1000 people.
It ia actually very crude measure and dont consider age and sex structure of population so any more interpretation can be misleading.
Since 1200 infants survived to see their first birthday and 1000 people die so we can roughly say that population increases by year.
