Describe the similarities and differences between estimating proportions and estimating the differences of proportions.

We know that the estimation of the proportion and estimation of difference between proportions are based on the sample proportions. For estimation of the population proportion, we find the sample proportion. Sample proportion is an unbiased estimator of the population proportion. In a similar way, the difference between two sample proportions is an unbiased estimator for the difference between two population proportions. During estimation of population proportion, we use the sample proportion for finding standard error while we use the pooled proportion during the estimation of difference between population proportions.
