How to control for unwanted influences in the experimental design? There are four ways: matching, blocking? and what are the other two?
The two ways of experimental design are already given as matching, blocking
The other two ways are:
1) Randomization: Treatments are randomly assigned to the experimental groups. All the forces (bias and uncertainty) would get evenly distributed.
2) Statistical control: The collected data should be reasonably large. It would be better if it follows the normal distribution. Further, ANOVA would differentiate between different data sets and the data which there is no significant difference can be used.
