Three most important things to avoid in a quantitative study:

(1) Avoid inadequate sample size

    The larger the sample size, the more representative of the population, giving greater confidence in the findings.

(2) Avoid Sampling bias

     Sampling bias is to be avoided by methods such as: making survey questions pointed to the objective of the survey and minimum, incentive for answering survey questions, etc.

(3) Avoid lack of theoretical framework.

In quantitative study, it is mandatory to use the exact methodology as applicable to the data under study as there are a number of methods available for the same analysis and the researcher should employ only the most appropriate methodology satisfying all the constraints of the problem.
