Compare and contrast an indirect relationship and a spurious relationship.

Compare and contrast an indirect relationship and a spurious relationship.

Homework Answers

Answer #1

Spurious relationship is a type of relationship in statistics in which the two or more factors are not causally related to one another in reality, but due to either ignorance, absence if some features, etc it may be assumed that they are correlated.

Whereas in indirect relationship the relationship is present between the factors but the difference from normal direct relationship is that in this the relationship is not direct. It may occur through some intermediate events. Thus the factor have a correlation here in indirect relationship whreas it was not there in spurious relationship.
