Write a confidence interval problem using the option below. Gather the appropriate data and post your problem (without solution) in the discussion board. Once your initial post is complete, respond to your own post with the solution. Think about the population mean that you may be interested in and propose a confidence interval problem for this parameter. Estimate the population mean number of times that adults ate fast food each week. Data is after speaking to with 7 people I know and found that they ate fast food 1, 4, 0, 2, 4, 0 and 3 times last week. I choose to calculate a 90% confidence interval for the populate mean. Please help solve this!!

Answer #1

= (1 + 4 + 0 + 2 + 4 + 0 + 3)/7 = 2

s = sqrt(((1 - 2)^2 + (4 - 2)^2 + (0 - 2)^2 + (2 - 2)^2 + (4 - 2)^2 + (0 - 2)^2 + (3 - 2)^2)/6) = 1.732

At 90% confidence interval the critical value is t* = 1.943

The 90% confidence interval for population mean is

+/- t* * s/

= 2 +/- 1.943 * 1.732/

= 2 +/- 1.272

= 0.728, 3.272

How would I write this using the correct statistical language. including symbols? I chose option 1 for this week’s discussion. I believe the population mean number of times that adults ate fast food each week is 2.5. My data is after speaking to with 7 people and found that they ate fast food 1, 4, 0, 2, 4, 0 and 3 times last week. I choose to test this hypothesis at .08 significance level.

Write a confidence interval using Stat Crunch. Gather appropriate data and post your problem (without a solution) in the discussion topic. For example, you may want to know if the average length of an alligator is the same as the average length of a shark. You may measure alligators from a swamp in Florida and find that their length is 7, 4, 10, 14, and 6 feet long. You may measure sharks from the Atlantic Ocean in Florida and find...

Write a confidence interval problem using one of the options below. Think about a population mean that you may be interested in and propose a confidence interval problem for this parameter. Your data values should be approximately normal. 30 random households were given a survey and asked how many times a month each household went grocery shopping (confidence interval for the population mean is 95%). The following answers were given: 1 Time- 1 2 Times- 3 3 Times- 3 4...
