Answer #1

We solve this question using normal distribution table with the help of this table find probability and z value

A) P(Z<c) =0.7373

Using normal table we get at 0.6 row and 0.03 column 0.005 means that at z=0.635 we get such

P(Z<0.635)=0.7373

Hence value of c=0.635

B)

P(-2.42<Z<2.75) = P(Z <2.75) - P(Z< - 2.42)

Using normal table we get

P(z<2.75)=0.99702

P(z<-2.42)= 0.00776

P(-2.42<z<2.75)=0.99702 - 0.00776 = 0.98926

Hence Required prob is 0.98926
