Five number summary provides us information about the dataset.

It is a set of a descriptive statistic.

It is consist of the five most important sample percentiles:

i) Minimum

ii) First quartile ( Q1)

iii) Second quartile ( Q2) ( It is median)

iv) Third quartile ( Q3)

v) Maximum

The five-number summary gives information about the location (from the median), spread (from the quartiles) and range (from the sample minimum and maximum) of the data set.
