A study of 1,000 adult Canadians was undertaken in an effort to
obtain information about Canadian shopping habits. One of the
results of this survey was that 23% often buy items that are not on
their shopping list but catch their eye. Use this study result to
estimate with an 80% level of confidence the population proportion
of Canadian shoppers who buy items that are not on their shopping
list but catch their eye.
