Describe briefly the design of an experiment with two explanatory variables to investigate this question. Answer #1

We will model the given situation by Design of an experiment. The explanatory variables are here

1) Time you eat dinner 2) Amount of exercise during a day.

The dependent variable is the time between you go to bed and when you first wake up.

Here the treatments are given above in (1) and (2). The treatments will change, so the time of dinner will vary and hence the treatment will vary and the time of exercise will also vary. Different treatments are replicated.

The lurking variables i.e., amount of sleep the previous night will be reduced by sleeping in the noon, but the time should be limited. The amount of sleep in the afternoon and in the night should be balanced so it did not effect the next day.
