a) The formula of finding Ynorm is as follow:

YRT = 0.38057, m = 10

Plug these values in the above formula , we get:

b) The formula of Defects per normalized unit is as follow:

DPUnorm = - ln ( Ynorm ) = - ln ( 0.907911) = 0.096609

c)  ZBenchmark = ZYnorm + 1.5

Here first we need to find z score for probability = 0.907911

From z table the z score value = ZYnorm = 1.33

So, ZBenchmark = 1.33  + 1.5 = 2.83
