A researcher would like to know which brand of ADHD medication have more effect on improving attention span. Brand A drug is given to 6 volunteers through one medical center and Brand B drug is given to 7 different volunteers through another medical center and their attention span (in seconds) is measured. Here are summarized data of two groups that are treated with different brand of drug: Brand A drug: ∑X₁ = 52.5, ∑X₁² = 461.07, x̄₁ = 8.75, Brand B drug: ∑X₂ = 68.2, ∑X₂² = 668.48, x̄₂ = 9.74.
