For customer rating, Bar-graph data is best suitable.

Let us consider an example to understand it. Suppose you want to survey of customer rating over i-phone. Since most of the person leave a feedback or rating of a product after purchasing the product. You make take 100 customers who have already purchased this phone. Suppose, you may find 50 people gave 5.0 ratings, 10 people gave 4.0 ratings, 20 people gave 3.0 rating, 15 people give 2.0 rating and 5 people give 1.0 rating.
