Research and Select a Curriculum You have been hired as the Curriculum Specialist for a new early childhood education program. The program will provide services for children ages: birth to 5 years old. Review the Curriculum Models described earlier, in Preschool Curriculum Choices. State which curriculum model you would recommend for the center and provide your reasoning for choosing this Model based upon what you know. Preschool is very important for children’s mental and social development. They were designed in such way that children can learn without any stress and anxiety.

In the comparison of peers, Children who go to preschool exhibit better devolvement ( cognitive).

According to researchers of Columbia University in their research in July 2003 in “Developmental psychology ”; child under the age of 8 years shows more IQ if the child attended minimum 400 days in preschool at 2 to 3 years age in comparison of the similar child who not or less attended preschool.

Constructive theory of Piaget state that people’s knowledge and perception are based on their experiences.

This theory consists of theories of learning, methods of teaching, and reforms in education.

Main elements which create the development of new knowledge of an individual are assimilation and accommodation.

Assimilation causes absorption of new ideas into old experiences. On the other hand, accommodation refers to reframing new idea and word into mental capacity.
