Look at the video by Stanford professor Robert Sapolsky:
Introduction to Human Behavioral Biology
He talks of "temporary platforms" that scientists use to explain human behavior.
What are the platforms (or "buckets") that he talks about? He gives many examples of how our individual behavior is shaped by our biological dimension. Sometimes he reminds us of our animal nature to make his point. What is your favorite example? Why?
In this video “Temporary platforms” or buckets” are ways of expressing same human behaviour in different lights, like crediting the behaviour for genetic makeup or hormones, neurotransmitters, a childhood trauma, or evolution, biological difference, steroids influence, having a period or a disease like a brain tumour or even having junk food.
I liked the example about categorising information ( the one about the incredibly fast runner) the most. This example shows how we build boundaries in our heads which we do not want to hamper and how strongly do we categories new stimulus with old formed categories. “ we have categories that we impose on things that are not categorical”
