Answer #1

The personal and professional consequences I have suffered because of your selective listening are not performing well in my studies and at work. Since as a student while I was irresponsible towards my studies I was more interested in listening to my classmates sitting next to me rather than the teacher. This led to bad grades. This habit persisted in me while working as I was more interested in befriending people at work and listening to them keenly than my boss. This caused me a loss of the job. The factors led me to selectively listen in these situations are my irresponsible behavior and undue interest in socializing. We can prevent or overcome our ineffective listening in these circumstances by changing the focus of our life i.e. giving priority to our education and work and being responsible in life.
