Answer #1

With the passage of time, there are changing social expectations, which are reflected in somewhat different gender roles at different junctures. These changes impact the dynamics between married couples as well, as both are expected to carry out certain responsibilities in order for the marriage to function effectively. While in our previous generations, tasks were divided more or less based on traditional gender roles, today, this does not seem to be the case. A sociologist would therefore be interested in understanding how this fluidity of gender roles that accompanies our changing society impacts marriage.
