California has 8% uninsured population. how does socioeconomic status affect/ contribute to the gap of care and health care access

Homework Answers

Answer #1

The social condition as belonging to marginalized sections and economic conditions as poverty contribute to the gap of care and health care access. The remain uninsured because they cannot afford the high cost of insurance due to poverty and unemployment. This may be because the poor adults would not have extended their medicaid, were not aware of it, or are poor uneligible immigrants.

Uninsured means difficulty to have access to better treatment facilities and care services for major health conditions and chronic diseases. Difficulty in paying bills without the coverage of insurance, and getting into medical debts, while seeking medical treatment and care for various major diseases and medical conditions.
