The basic difference between the 'transmission' view and the 'ritual' view is the objective of both forms of communication. While in the transmission view, the basic objective is sending and receiving of the information across a channel. The objective is different when it comes to the 'ritual' view where the objective is to communicate the appropriate information which is to be preserved for time. This is our understanding of the difference between these forms of communication.
