Answer #1

What is your theory on how the thinning of gray and white matter might affect a person’s life during the middle adult years? What makes you think this?

Brain tissue would be composed of cell bodies, as well as filaments, that would be extending from cell bodies. Gray matter have the cell bodies of the nerve cells. These cell bodies would be forming the cortex. As a result of thinning of the gray matter, the people in their middle adulthood, would be showing lesser emotions and loss of control of actions. What made me think this is the association of gray matter thinning with psychiatric disorders such as bipolar disorder.
