why is a boost in morale not enough reason military personnel should be able to grow facial hair ?

The main purpose of not growing facial hair concerning military personnel is to allow easy use of protective masks against chemical weapons. There could be many religious personal reasons for growing facial hair, but military personnel is always dedicated to protecting their country and hence must groom themselves following military policy. Another reason for not growing facial hair is the discipline policy followed in the military. Miltary strictly follows this policy that must be followed by everyone as they represent their nation and is unlike working for any firm either public or private. Another aspect we can state here is that mustache is facial hair and can be grown. The only fact to be known by military personnel is that they must be neatly trimmed and well maintained. The process of keeping a facial beard neatly trimmed is very much difficult irrespective of any morale due to which keeping beard is not allowed.
