Do you think that we should have any concerns about learning to manipulate readers?

In my view, manipulating others to attain one’s own benefit is highly unethical. As writers, we should aim to be persuasive, by presenting concrete information to influence readers to perceive our points of view using facts and data. Manipulation is the exerting devious influence for one's own advantage, through means such as lying and being misleading. Learning this form of communication can be very effective and extremely powerful, but there is a risk that it might lead to misuse and negative consequences.
